Ways to Give
Sponsor 5 students
With a gift at this level, you’ll give five students the chance to pick out and keep their own books at the Scholastic Book Fair. For many, it will be the first book they’ve ever chosen for themselves. This small step has a big impact—sparking confidence, imagination, and a love of reading.
$100 ($20 per child)
Sponsor a classroom
When you sponsor a classroom, you ensure that every child in that class leaves the book fair with a story of their own. Your support levels the playing field so that no student feels left out. A classroom sponsorship creates shared excitement, a sense of community, and books that will be treasured long after the fair.
$500 (25 students)
Community sponsorship
Whether you’re a corporation, family, or an individual, you can play a leading role in our story. Sponsorships help us bring books to classrooms, grade levels, and entire schools—turning the page toward equity in literacy.
The Giving Shelf is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your donation — whether from a family, foundation, or corporation — is tax-deductible and directly supports literacy programs for students who need them most.
Why Give to The Giving Shelf
Your donation has an immediate and visible impact: a child walking away with a book they chose themselves, a classroom shelf filled with new stories, and a community reminded that every student matters. When you give to The Giving Shelf, you’re not just donating—you’re changing the story for children who need it most.
